Shop nowThe InfoTag LL2860 uses a focused CO2 laser to mark high-definition text, barcodes, and logos directly onto specially coated metal tags, producing marks durable enough to survive the high temperatures found in slab, bloom, and billet casting mills, as well as hot strip mills. Text and barcode data can be sent from a host computer or entered directly at the marker for sequenced batch printing.
Tags feed automatically from 300-foot rolls through the laser marking area and exit ready to break off at a nick-notch point, keeping the process largely hands-off once loaded. The 60W configuration is water cooled and available for 3" or 4" wide tag material, with barcode lengths up to 24" supported as standard — a strong middle-ground option between lighter-duty and higher-wattage InfoTag models.
Its compact, all-metal enclosure is designed to fit in tight steel mill pulpits, and mounting it on wheels turns it into a fully portable unit one person can move between stations. A single-galvanometer optics design avoids the flat-field lens found in many lighter-duty markers, reducing long-term maintenance costs. Available through Cancard with quoting, delivery, and service support across Canada and the US.
