Shop nowPaintTag metal identification tags are built to survive the full painting process on fabricated steel, from acid-pickling through high-temperature paint curing, making them a reliable low-cost option when start-to-finish traceability has to hold up through rough handling and harsh chemistry.
Each tag attaches to fabricated steel parts before painting using a pre-punched hole or slot and wire fastener, so it stays with the part through every stage of production. Barcodes, standard text, and custom logos can be printed in real time using compatible laser tag printers, and the printed information stays readable all the way through to the customer's job site.
Available through Cancard in 3" x 3" size, 1200 tags per box, with custom sizes available on request.

Can PaintTags be printed on-site?
Yes — they support real-time printing of barcodes, text, and logos using compatible laser tag printers, for print-on-demand tagging.
What temperatures can these tags withstand?
The metal substrate is rated from -22°F to 1000°F (-30°C to 538°C); the laminate itself is rated to a minimum of 250°F (120°C).
How are the tags attached to steel parts?
They attach via wire fasteners through a pre-punched hole or slot, keeping the tag with the part through the full painting process.
